We teamed up with The Balvenie and were featured on an episode of Raw Craft with Anthony Bourdain to create a one of a kind snare drum. Anthony Bourdain heads to Penland, North Carolina to meet with Elizabeth Brim, one-of-a-kind master metalsmith and instructor at the Penland School of Crafts noted for the creation of traditionally feminine objects created from iron. What a special project this was!

So Bourdain is a natural fit as host for Raw Craft, his collaboration with whisky makers The Balvenie, exploring craftsmen who often work beyond his usual purview of food, drink and travel.

One of the last of its kind, Arion Press has only a handful of craftsmen dedicated to this age old process.
